The Enemies of Cancer

To avoid getting sick from diseases such as cancer we should adopt some healthy habits.

Here are the major ones:

Follow an alkaline diet (you will find an extensive analysis about it in the food category).

Try to eat as regularly as possible the following foods which are considered to be some of the major enemies of cancer:

- Eat 3-5 bitter almonds daily.

- Drink 1 cup of water with a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda (aluminium free).

- Drink the juice of one lemon every morning before breakfast, in a glass of lukewarm water with 1 tablespoon of honey. It’s important to know that lemon contains 22 cancer agents.

- Eat cocoa and bitter chocolate (at least 81% cocoa), 45 grams a day should be enough.

- Eat garlic and onions (raw). It is advisable to chop garlic and consume it within five minutes.

- Drink green tea (2 cups a day).

- Eat turmeric (there is an extensive analysis in the herbs category).

- Consume selenium, we consume amounts of selenium in accordance with our age (a related article will be written in the minerals category).

- Fatty small fish (sardines, mackerel, etc.). They contain the very important omega-3 fatty acids.

- Extra virgin olive oil, raw (3 tsp. daily is sufficient ).

- Ripe tomatoes (much better if consumed in the form of sauce,  preferably if it’s  homemade).

- Raw broccoli or steamed.

- Watermelon (equivalent to tomato since both contain lycopene).

- Pomegranate freshly squeezed or  frozen juice, without further processing.

- Raw carrots.

- Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.

Note that the friendly environment for any form of cancer to develop is, among other aggravating factors, the acidic body pH (see alkaline diet), the limited amount of oxygen in our lungs (we need to take 3 times a day 15 deep breaths) and the amounts of glucose in the blood (this means no to sugar, white pasta, processed foods and generally to products containing hidden sweeteners e.g. corn starch).
